In 1961, at the age of 21, with a bit of recklessness and a lot of will, he started his first business in his family shop, producing and selling “tortellini and gnocchi”.

In 1964 Fausto took over a small food company called Piuma d’Oro. The name seems perfect to define the idea of quality that Fausto has always had in his mind. After exploring all the secrets of pasta, the company progressively specializes in making carnival sweets. Success is immediate; the secret is simple: to preserve the traditional recipes, keeping the taste and flavor unaltered, using technology to constantly develop the fragrance and food quality.

When Fausto leaves the leadership of Piuma d’Oro to his sons Federico and Fulvio, the solid and constantly evolving company strengthens its leadership in the sweets sector with carnival chatter, which it distributes in Italy and in the rest of the world.

Respect for traditional recipes has always been a guideline for Piuma d’Oro production. Keeping the scent, aroma and crunchiness that match people tastes is a real topical mission for Piuma D’Oro, renewed every day through meticolous quality controls over all production lines. The control metodologies are passed on by a circle of collaborators who form the fixed core of the company to over 300 employees, with a communication flow that contributes to the diffusion and maintainance of company know – how over time. Particular attention is paid to the control of the dough and to the control of the cooking. Results are under anybody’s eyes, or better, on everyone’s taste buds.

Starting from the strict respect of traditional recipes and the deep knowledge about food production sector, the Company has progressively specialized in Carnival sweets productions, refining techniques and ensuring a cstant and recognizable quality.

Through a seasonal activity that is accompanied by a production capacity of more than 50,000 kg per day, the Compan is leader into italian market and it’s also well known abroad. Nowadays, if you buy “chiacchiere” or “bugie” during Carnival period in Italy it’s very likely they were made by Piuma d’Oro. Piuma d’Oro “chiacchiere” are appreciated by most of final consumers and they have conquered gourmands all over the world
